Children’s Division

A program designed to provide children with a strong foundation in dance and movement. It consists of several levels of competencies - each designed for a specific age group.

This program teaches the basic elements of movement and dance: space and how we relate to it; the eight basic loco-motor movements; musical rhythm, beat, and time; opposites - left, right and direction; decision-making; basic body/health awareness; elementary positions of ballet. Integrated with these physical and intellectual concepts are other concepts including creative expression, dramatic interpretation, imagination, teamwork, and self-awareness.

TADA dancers are required to purchase shoes & tights from the dance studio.

Enrollment is based on the child's age as of September 1st. A student assistant may work with the instructor in classes for 1-9 years old.

Dancers will be placed into the upper division based upon their individual progress and knowledge of technique – not necessarily because of their age. Class will meet once a week 45 minutes.
